Authoring & Illustrating: The Forgotten Folklore Project

'We Come From Mist is an anthology of prose, poetry, musical lyrics, and visual art—by the women of Meghalaya in Northeast India, brought together in one volume by Janice Pariat, a novelist and poet from these hills.'

As part of this publication, our teabag works depict musings of motherhood, tenderness, resilience and a way of life that we all recognize. It was a pleasure to be part of this project, one that has been able to thread many narratives to tell the larger story of Meghalaya, of women and of life in the hills.
